A masterclass on the recognition of Tanbur modes will be held at the Ferdowsi Music Academy in Tehran, conducted by Farid Elhami, musician and researcher of Tanbur music.

These classes will cover the history of the Tanbur from ancient to contemporary times, as well as the modes of Tanbur from the perspectives of narrators of Sahneh and Goran traditions.

The masterclass will take place on Friday, October 4, 2024 (12 Mehr 1403) at the Ferdowsi Academy (Tehran, Nobonyad Square, Koohestan 6, No. 3), in three one-hour sessions.
